  • ■ Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.
    ■ Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast.
    ■ Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense.
    ■ Regularly learn and play new sports.

'Elizabeth' with Mike.
11:05 @ 115# ... probably should have gone Rx'd, but after working up to 135# and doing a couple of sets there, I decided to do 1 more quick set before we started and had to dump the bar and was launched onto my ass. I decided that it was a bad omen and went back to 115#. chicken? .. maybe.

rings dips were hard today after the beating we've taken to the upper body over this week.

I'd like to thank Medea for keeping the gym open and keeping things running smoothly while Mike and Kim were gone. Medea you are definitely going to make a great trainer.

See yall monday.

"Elizabeth" as Rx'd:

Didn't feel as good as I hoped it would - really gassed on the second round and took a long time to recover. I'm glad to be back home and focused on the diet again. Hopefully I'll see a 6:30 next go-round :)

  • "We don't have the agility of gymnasts, the power of a weightlifter, or the endurance of a marathoner but we have more agility, power, and endurance than any gymnast, weightlifter or marathoner. We do your stuff almost as good as you, you can’t do our stuff at all and we do stuff neither of us does way better than you can."
